On another thread we were talking about the Golden Ticket Award, given in 1981 for 100,000 tickets sold between 1972 and 1981. A good friend who prefers to
stay in the wings sent me this. It's a recreation because the detailed pics were sent separately, so I plopped them back into a frame in the way they were
presented as a whole. It's one thing to talk about Moody history, but it's another to see the actual artifacts we talk about. So, many thanks for this!

It was October 23, 1972 that the Moodies sold out Madison Square Garden in 5 hours for two gigs on the same day.... 50,000 tickets total that was said to be, but even today MSG has a seating capacity of just under 20,000. Perhaps they sold 'standing' tickets for concerts back then, or maybe the capacity was more before the 1991 renovation.
I just thought some people might miss it in that other thread, and it deserves a good place of it's own. :-)
