I'm really not TOO good with words. But let me just say that Wednesday Night's concert was everything I dreamed it would be... and more!
The MORE started when I had dinner with my new friends Jo, Jeff, and Janet, at the Humphrey's backstage restaurant. The food was delicious, and so was the company. After dinner, we wandered over to the concert venue, and I bought 2 Tshirts before we were shown to our seats. Our seats were fifth row from the stage, on John's side. So I guess I had ONE of the best seats in the house!
Another exciting moment happened when Alan, their keyboard player, walked into the audience to talk with a few people. Somehow, I got up the courage to walk up to him and introduced myself. We chatted, and I playfully asked Alan to give Justin my regards. And then I asked if I could hug him! And I got one!
Then the concert began. And let me tell you, it was REALLY fantastic! For the first half, Justin wore a black vest over a white shirt, and black trousers. Mmmm, he looked so divine! John wore black, as always, as did Graeme. Well, Graeme's pants WERE white! They sang all the songs I loved, especially SAY IT WITH LOVE. I LOVE that one! And the visual effects on the screens behind them were mind-blowing!
For the second half, Justin took off his vest, so he came on stage wearing a white shirt, and his black trousers! And I noticed his shirt had one button unbuttoned, so I could see SOME skin! Needless to say, THIS lady was SWOONING!
A few people were dancing near the front of the stage. I left my seat to dance, and found a lovely lady named Laurie who danced with me. You know, I think dancing is the BEST part of a Moody Blues show! Well, after a few MORE songs, it was time for QUESTION and RIDE MY SEESAW. Then before I knew it, the magic was over. But the night was SO enchanting!
Peace and love, Brighty/Sharon

I loved Laura's review, Shanny. Thanks for posting the link. I felt much the same way. Here's my two cents:
I know lots of people will have lots to say about the infamous May 10, 2015
Red Rocks concert that was actually at the Denver Cow Palace Coliseum.
It was the best of times and the worst of times. A vicious spring snow storm
made for hazardous traveling conditions, and eventually caused the promoters to
move the show on May 9 from gorgeous Red Rocks Amphitheater to the site of the
National Western Stock Show and Rodeo: the aged Denver Coliseum. Not ideal, but
at least it wasn't cancelled! Obviously, the whole different seating
configuration would cause headaches. Square pegs and round holes and all that.
Yes, my 4th row center $$ ticket was at risk, but I vowed to get as
Zen as I could and just go with the flow.
I had a wonderful time. I'm sorry for those that didn't.
Yes, the venue could have been more forthcoming with updates and
information, because rumors were rampant, but the workers themselves did their
best. I was in line for will call by 3:30. Box office opened at 5, doors at 6.
What a relief to sit down and get a rest before the concert, because we pretty
much stood through the entire show. I was in almost the same seat I would
have had at RR, except actually closer because there was a smaller space
between the seats and the stage.
The show was as good as any of the dozen or so I've attended. The band
was upbeat and rockin'. They thanked the audience for their patience; Graeme
made some funny comments about their "Spring" tour with the frozen
Niagara Falls, lousy Buffalo weather and then, for the finale: snow at Red
Rocks. Spring indeed. And Justin said they would have done the gig someplace
anyway. I have a few pics here to share of this memorable weekend:
It was so good to see friends from past concerts (apologies to those I missed) and make new ones. Not crying because it's over; smiling because it happened. At all.
