My Dad died quite suddenly last week. He was 82 years old and had been married to Mom for 62 years. He was in decent health for an 82 year old, lived on a
small farm in Missouri. I visited my parents a couple of months ago, they were very content with life, he just retired from over the road trucking three years
ago. He loved it!
Prayers for my Mom would be appreciated. Dave

anyone else who's suffering from a heavy load at this time.

I was so sorry to hear this sad news. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I know it was very tough for you. I hope you will gather the strength to keep your mom strong. You have a close-knit family and I'm sure you will support each other. Prayers and love to you and yours.  .

Dave - sending prayers out your way and for your Mom and family. It's very hard losing a loved one whether it's sudden or from a long illness. Your
parents were very lucky people to have found each other. My parents were the same way - they were married 57 years when my Dad died.

My condolences to you and your family, Dave. I'm very sorry for your loss. In '97 my dad died ten days after my parents' 50th anniversary. I will most definitely include your mom in my prayers. With God's help she'll get through this unbearable loss. ~ Lynne

Im sorry to hear this Dave.
My dad and mom are 81 and I cant imagine life without them. Most of us here, are of a "certain" age, and our parents are getting on in years. We can certainly sympathize with you. Many have one or both parents gone .. so I feel lucky to have had mine for so many years. Its no help to you now, but its a good thought, in this time of sadness. Feel free to talk about his life, or your thoughts, to us, if it helps you. We go through these things together. Thats really what this board is all about. Helping people when they need someone. |

My sympathy and prayers to you, Dave, as well as your mom, who lost her life-long mate.
Death is not a state easy for me to accept. Why does it have to be so abrupt? so Final? Silly thought I know, but hard to deal with the reality of someone being in your life one minute or day and gone - POOF, Forever - the next. It will take time for all of you to adjust . I pray your Mom stays strong and goes on with the rest of her already long, and no doubt fulfilling life. Be thankful your Dad lived SO long and you all had him for 82 years. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, and your mom's loss.....
As Chakra said, I can't imagine life without my mom and dad. I can only imagine the grief you're feeling. My thoughts are definitely with you and your mom.
